About Us

Tom Hurd is a retired hot rod truck and car builder who is now pursuing his second love, toy trains.

Tom is a long time model rail roader who in more recent years got interested in toy trains and fell in love with American Flyer and the history of A.C. Gilbert. He has converted his shop building into a small, old time train store. The store houses a Christmas layout (it’s always Christmas at Trick Trains ‘N Things) as well as a standard and O gauge display. There is also an A.C. Gilbert and history of toy trains display.

Tom also offers repair and custom paint services.

Tom and fellow Miami Valley S Gauge Club members are building a large S gauge layout.

Free tours are always welcome. Learn the history of toy trains and A.C. Gilbert. Tours are by appointment only.

We sell our items online, in store and at various swap meets.
